The Family Songbook

Almond Blossom

It contains 7 categories of songs that cover the spectrum from young children to the very oldest in different phases of life and situations.

The “Family songbook Almond Blossom» was published as a greatly revised version of the songbook «Almond Blossom» – which was first published by Stiftelsen Skjulte Skatters Forlag in 1942. The book remained unchanged with 140 songs until 2004. In connection with a major revision of the songbook, 40 songs were taken out, and 356 songs included, and these 456 songs make up today’s edition of the “Family songbook Almond Blossom”. The book is called a «Family songbook», as it contains 7 song categories covering the spectrum from young children to the very oldest, in different phases of life and situations. The songbook also contains Christmas songs, national anthems, and many songs that we can call «society’s public property». Examples are «Abide with me», «Thine be the Glory» and «Amazing grace». The songbook is a rich and varied collection of toddler songs, revival songs, spiritual songs and many other good intellectual works for different purposes and situations.

If you wish to use the songbook for professional use, e.g., paid tuition, live performance, or background music at events, you must obtain written permission from Stiftelsen Skjulte Skatters Forlag in advance, in each individual case. Contact: forlaget@skjulte-skatter.no
